Shiver me timbers.....

Well, the structural timber arrived on Monday (yay!!).

They've done the prep work for the roof trusses to go on....the ones over the garage should go up today and they can start putting up the main posts etc for the back deck. They've re-stabilised the front entrance area (upstairs) with permanent steel posts and this now means my upstair front door opens the whole way up. It also means no little house movment with the Brisbane (ekka) westerly winds.....

Now, as promised, here are some pictures of the framing downstairs as well as the garage slab..... It's actually good that I haven't blogged in a while as you'll really be able to see the changes in the house......

It's all systems go here. When I popped in after my morning walk with my dog, the builder asked me to go through where the powerpoints/phone lines would be downstairs. I was half asleep and unprepared but think I got the layout ok. They've started laying the wall sheeting to go under the VJ sheeting downstairs.

p.s. I've finished no-more-gapping one room and have moved onto another!
